Biking HoChiMinh to Nam Cat Tien, cycling to national park. The Park is about 150 km from Saigon. It is mostly situated at the northern edge of South-eastern region, but also touches upon the southern edge of the Western Highlands. The Javan Rhinoceros still exists in the Cat Loc area, which is the last remaining population of this species on the Asian mainland. Other mammals include a number of primate species, including the endemic golden-cheeked gibbon, elephant, gaur and tiger. Many birds can be found, including special species such as the Germain's Peacock Pheasant, Bar-bellied Pitta and the rare endemic Orange-necked Partridge. Vietnam Bike Tours

Day 1: Saigon - Nam Cat Tien national park (L/D) (25-50 km)
Pick up at your hotel and transfer 1.5 hours towards Dong Nai province to escape the chaos of Saigon. From Dong Nai, begin to cycle on hilly back roads through rubber plantations to the sub-forest of Nam Cat Tien. Cycle past beautiful park scenery on a vibrant dirt track alongside Dong Nai river. You will have an opportunity to challenge yourself on the rolling hills of a single track road to Ta Lai village. From the village, continue riding to park headquarters. Enjoy a wild animal tour by jeep in the evening.  Stay overnight in a guest-house.

Day 2: Cat Tien -  Saigon (B/L) (20 -40 km)
In the dry season
Pedal on paths to Dak-Lua. From Dak-Lua, trek 2 km into the lush eco-system of a semi-evergreen forest and wetland-flooded evergreen forest. Here you will find Flora such as the Ficus benjamina family, grown in an area of 3 hectares such as F. benjamina, F. racemora, Flacourtiaceae, and Hychaearpus. Take a short trek to explore the area before you continue your biking to sub-Nam Cat Tien park.  Have lunch  on the way back to Saigon by minivan. 

In the wet season
Enjoy 2 hours trekking into the park. You will have a chance to know characteristic of tropical forest and you are also watch many kind of birds of prey including several species associated with the wetlands, such as osprey, lesser fish eagle, grey-headed fish...etc. check out, start your bike ride today from the center of the park. The Park is varied and made up of seasonally flooding grassland and swamp forest. The wetland is bounded to the east, south and west by dense humid evergreen forest with semi-evergreen and deciduous forest in the park itself. To date, more than 1,610 plant species have been recorded, in 162 botanical families. Ride on hilly trails through mountainous area to Madagui. Have lunch and drive back to Saigon in late afternoon.
