Located in Binh Thuan province, Phan Thiet is 200 km from Saigon and lies south of Cam Ranh bay on the southernmost stretch of Central Vietnam. Binh Thuan was once a part of the Cham kingdom. In 1692, Lord Nguyen Phuc Chu captured the area and named it Binh Thuan Dinh. Binh Thuan is quite important in Vietnam's history, as it was because of this area that in 1306 King Tran Nhan Tong agreed to the marriage of princess Huyen Chan to King Jaya Sinhavarman III of the Cham Kingdom. Day 01: Saigon – Nam Cat Tien Park (B/L/D) (40 km)
Pick up and transfer for 2 hours to La Nga town. Pedal on hilly rural roads alongside the Dong Nai river. Cross the Dong Nai river and keep pedaling through coffee and pepper plantations to Ta Lai. Have lunch at Ta Lai village. After lunch, continue pedaling along the branch of the Dong Nai river to the headquarters of Nam Cat Tien. Check into the hotel. Take a jeep to see wild animals in the evening with a local guide.
Day 2: Nam Cat Tien Park – Mui Ne, Phan Thiet (B/LD/) (100 km)
Pedal on the paths to Dak-Lua. Start to trek 2 km into eco-system of semi-evergreen forest. Have a short trek to explore the area before we pedal back to headquarters to check out. Continue your bike ride on back roads to high way 20 where you start to cycle through rice fields, corn and sugar cane plantations in rural Dist of Binh Thuan province. In the afternoon, ride on hilly back roads to Ham town. Have an hour and half transfer to Phan Thiet city.
Day 03: Phan Thiet – Binh Chau hot spring – Saigon (B/L/) (100 km)
Today's ride is from Phan Thiet through salt fields, rice-paddies, and along coastal roads from to Chicken Cape lighthouse, which was completed in February 1897 by French architect Snavat. It located in Tan Thanh Commune, Ham Thuan Nam district, Binh Thuan Province. This place is known as good destination for people those like to relax and escape from crowded city life.
Ke Ga or Chicken Cape light house is 65 m above sea level and has 184 steel spiral steps leading to the top of the tower. The signal light for ships is 2,000W in capacity. The length of each tower base is more than 20 m, and the side of the square house is 40 m wide. The light house on Chicken Cape Island, together with the surrounding scenery, makes up a magnificent landscape and impresses many visitors. After the lighthouse we will cycle along the coastal roads through salt fields, rice paddies and fishing village to La Gi township. Enjoy a seafood lunch in this town, then continue cycling to Binh Chau hot springs. Transfer to Saigon in late afternoon. End of tour.
