Biking Mekong. Cycling to XeoQuyt base to TramChim stork sanctuary to ChauDoc to CanTho. Throughout this bicycle tour, you will be cycling on narrow lanes to Xeo Quyt base and Tam Nong, the biggest stork sanctuary in Dong Thap. The only bike trip to Stork Sanctuary by Vietnam BackRoads.
Tram Chim National Park is located 19 km to the east of the Mekong River, at an elevation of about 1 m. The topography of the national park is flat, sloping slightly to the East. In the past, several natural streams and rivers flowed from west to east, distributing water from the Mekong River to the plain of reeds. Now, these streams and rivers have been replaced by a system of canals flowing through the national park. Ba Chuc is about 30 minute's drive from Chau Doc. The site has a tower of skulls, similar to that in the Choeung Ek Killing Fields of Cambodia. There are also plenty of photographs which graphically outline the results of the attack. This is not a place for the light hearted, but even with its horror, it makes for an interesting visit and its something we should all see. The following days include cycling to Chau Doc border town, seeing the killing fields, and observing the floating market in Can Tho. Video Clip Vietnam Bike Tours
